‘A vortex of sorts / Into fragrant playful striped balls / Bouncing upbeat, / Just for the self, a favour’,

- Nirali Lal

Intellectualising Emotions:

Flowery floats, strawberry hearts

Fleeting, buoyant, cloud tarts

So much depth but rising,

Moving away from its beating red—start

Entering deep

Making a strawberry rimmed mind pit

In floral symmetry

Interrogated, dissected,

cut into slits…

Swaying, dancing, floating

Pushed to its pit

Synchronised dreams

And thinking stories

Clouds and berries

Rolled together in fervour

Deep below the minds block

A vortex of sorts

Into fragrant playful striped balls

Bouncing upbeat,

Just for the self, a favour,

To play around

with a strawberry flavour

Till all the gas is released

Whew! exhausted they scream

And thick ball-skin settle,

remain,

weighty and drained

Vanishing into…

the mind’s membrane
